This 2010 picture shows Gavin Hunter with his prize winning cow Tilbrook Cashtiller, the most acclaimbed Devon cow in England.  At her side is a young  bull calf named Hat Trick.  Well it seems that Gavin correctly named this bull.  Because he won top price at the national Devon show this year in England and this is Cashtiller's 3rd straight bull calf to do so!
He went for 4800 GNS ( US $10,800  ).

And here is Hat Trick today, all grown up.
To add genetic diversity in US Devon cattle a group of breeders (including Walker Century Farms) are working with Mr Hunter. Cashtiller was flushed, the embryos brought to the US, and 7 pregnances came to full term.  Of these there are 5 heifers and 2 bulls that will be weaned in May. Three of  the heifers and the 2 bull calves will be going to Thistle Hill Farm  in Hume Va. The two other heifers will be coming to Walker Century Farms in SC. So come see if  British cows sound different. And don't forget you can also see them if you  visit us on the 6th Annual Upstate  Farm Tour.
