Working on the farm

Well the days are getting longer and its starting to warm up.  Today we did one of Doc's favorite things, worked with the cows.  With fall calves getting near weening time we had to weigh and tattoo ears (one day I would really like to load them up, go to the nearest tattoo parlor, and just see what they would say).

Here we are unloading.  With most breeds being this close is not a good idea.  But the Devons tend to be much more docile and easy to work.

Its even safe for kids to be around.

And even though it looks like I'm about to get run over I knew I wouldn't.  In fact she snifted the camera as she went by, I'm just glad she didn't lick the lens.
